It was a fun time at Hops Park, where the San Bernardino Grasshoppers and Yakima Hops tangled.

Doug Cole was instrumental in his team's 3-1 triumph over the San Bernardino Grasshoppers. The right fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Yakima Hops. The Hops raised their record to 40-50.

Cole had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, when he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. The Hops went on to win.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Cole.
