Yakima second baseman Sebastian Franke had a good game, even if his team did not. The Hops dropped a 8-3 decision to San Bernardino at Hops Park. Franke hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Jordan Guérin picked up the win with 7.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 9. On the season, he is now 5-2. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for San Bernardino.
It could have been a different outcome for San Bernardino, had it not been for Eric Thomas, the 26-year old first baseman . Thomas contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the fifth inning to put San Bernardino up, 3-1.
