Screaming Eagles Topple Continentals with Late Rally
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles dealt the Chesapeake Continentals a 6-5 loss at Chesapeake Grounds. Fernando Flores was the star on offense. He went 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Screaming Eagles have now won 8 straight.

Flores had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 fastball from Tom Lee, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Screaming Eagles a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Flores.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Mercer Island manager Marshall Edwards.
