Palladium Sox Get Road Win, 5-1
|
Sergio Gallegos never let the Sixshooters get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Palladium Sox to a 5-1 win. Van Lapointe was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 4 save opportunities. With the victory, the Palladium Sox record now stands at 40-38.
The Sixshooters had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Palladium Sox going into the top of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old catcher Sergio Aguero came to the plate. Aguero hit a 2-run home run on a 2-2 screwball from Westwood hurler Dan Bond. It was Aguero's 4th home run of the year.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Gallegos.
