Samson Shines in Loons Win
The Minnesota Loons defeated the Yakima Hops, 9-3, at Hops Park today. Leading the charge for Minnesota was third baseman Igme Samson. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The second-place Loons improved to 48-30.

Minnesota relied on the bat of Javier Vázquez to get the win. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the third inning to put the Loons ahead, 1-0. For the game, Vázquez had 1 double and 1 triple in 3 at-bats.
