5 Straight Wins for Hops
|
Starting pitcher Félix Aiza pitched well enough to help the Yakima Hops beat the Springfield Shooters by the score of 8-4. Yakima reliever John Guerra was the winner. His record is now 3-2. Brendon Lewis took the loss. The Hops have now won 5 straight.
Yakima used the timely hitting of Flint Myers to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hops on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Aiza told the Yakima Times.
