Eustacio Tafalla did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Oakland Oaks from losing, 6-4, to the Boston Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park. Tafalla went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Bradley Roth, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. Leo Ingelbrigtsen, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.

Dennis Wacher was 1-3 for Boston. The 27-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Kevin Nogilny. It was his 6th RBI of the season.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Wacher said after the game.

The Oaks, now 4-12, continue their slow start.
