Continentals Lose Again, 5-1, to Loons
|
Igme Samson left his imprint on the 5-1 Minnesota win against the Chesapeake Continentals. Samson, who is tied for 4th in the PAA in home runs with 13, was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Rafael González got the win, improving to 6-2. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Ricardo Ramírez notched his 5th save in 7 chances.
Samson put Minnesota up, 4-1, when he hit a 2-run home run off Shaun Stroud in the bottom of the fifth. His 13th home run of the season helped the Loons capture the win.
"I like our moxie," said Loons manager Ramón Pantoja.
The current losing streak for Chesapeake has reached 6 games.
