Lucas van Halteren pitched a gem to lead Ft. Polk South to a 5-1 victory over the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles. van Halteren went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-8. With the win, Ft. Polk South has a record of 36-31. Mercer Island falls to 45-22.

Raúl Colomo had a big 2-run single for the Thunder Hawks in the bottom of the third inning. With Ft. Polk South leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from William Bruce and stroked the single to left.
