Field of the Browns was the site for M3L Rookie action featuring the Bompton Baby Lakers and Twinsburg Tigers.
The Twinsburg Tigers beat the Bompton Baby Lakers, 7-3, at Field of the Browns. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Juan Santángel, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Lorenzo Encarnación nailed down his 9th save.
Twinsburg relied on the hitting of Sam Hamilton to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Tigers on top, 3-1. For the game, Hamilton had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I like the roll we're on," said Twinsburg manager Noel Ballard.
The first-place Tigers have won 5 consecutive games.
