Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Elephants
Athletic Club KC pitcher Larry Brown gave the Elephants all they could handle, but in the end, Gibtown left Wrigley Field with a 4-3 win. Brown allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 7.1 innings. Gibtown reliever Ramón Rodríguez picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Grant Gremel was saddled with the loss. Gibtown now owns a record of 35-57.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Gibtown trailing 3-0, Colton Pennington hit a fastball from Grant Gremel for a grand slam home run, giving the Elephants the walk-off win.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Athletic Club KC manager Brooks Dempsey.
