Grey Wolves Topple Evergreens with Late Rally
In a low-scoring game between the Vancouver Grey Wolves and the Portland Evergreens, pitcher Kenny Aarnoutse was masterful on the mound. The Vancouver right-hander was named the player of the game in Vancouver's 2-1 win. Vancouver reliever Quan Shiu picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Raúl Romero shouldered the loss. Vancouver is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 16 games.

Oliver Villalva was the walk-off hero for Vancouver. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Grey Wolves center fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

Villalva told a Vancouver Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
