Beavers Get Past Canonniers de Quebec for 3-2 Win
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers eked out a 3-2 win versus the Canonniers de Quebec at Beaver Town. Nobody did more than pitcher Cecil Drabek, who captured player of the game honors. Pavlov Anfimov locked down his 1st save. The Beavers now have a record of 42-42.
Richard Mitchell, who is tied for 4th in the 3R in stolen bases with 16, helped out the Northwest Territory cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Drabek told the Northwest Territory Citizen.
