Ellesmere Island rode a fine outing from starter Jordon Glen Anderson to victory over the Sheridan Deer at Sheridan Forest. The final score was 5-2. Anderson, now 3-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 10, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. Millard Whipp got the save, the 20th for him this season.
Ellesmere Island used the clutch hitting of Edward Kisiner to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Snowpeople ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"It was a good effort all around," said Kisiner.
