Gibtown rode a good effort from starter António López to beat the Bompton Baby Lakers at Field of the Browns. The final score was 4-2. López, now 2-6, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 10, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Graeme Clark closed the game out for Gibtown, earning his 4th save.
Gibtown took a 4-2 lead on Colton Pennington's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Bompton pitcher Pierre Vannier in the top of the seventh.
"Glad to get this win," said Pennington. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
The Elephants now have a mark of 28-45.
