Tsou Leads Deer to Win
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Sheridan Deer and Germantown Uruguayans clash at Ballpark of Albuquerque.
The Sheridan Deer topped the Germantown Uruguayans, 9-4, with youngster Hsui-chuan Tsou playing a key role. Tsou was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Deer in the win. Reliever Francisco Martínez picked up the win. His record improves to 3-2. Ángel Franco took the loss.
Sheridan relied on the hitting of Haechan Mae to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the second inning to put the Deer on top, 1-0. For the game, Mae had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Tsou called the triumph "a good team win."
The Deer raised their record to 31-35.
