|
Twinsburg Tigers starter Forest Bell was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Gibtown Elephants, 5-3. The winning pitcher was Bell, now 7-2. He tossed 5.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 13. António del Pozo was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the ninth inning, but António del Pozo didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Gibtown trailing 5-3, del Pozo retired Rafael Riquelme to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said del Pozo, with a wink.
The Tigers own a robust 42-16 mark.
