Outlaws Win in 13
|
Nashville first baseman Tom Burton made his presence felt in the 7-6 Outlaws triumph over the Mississippi Mockingbirds. Burton was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Jack Joyner picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Folkert van Huizen was tagged with the loss. The last-place Mockingbirds have lost 4 consecutive games.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With no one out, Burton hit a cutter from Folkert van Huizen for a run-scoring single. The Outlaws, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We found a way to get it done," Burton said.
