The Sheridan Deer met little resistance from the Germantown Uruguayans, beating them 11-2 at Sheridan Forest. Hsui-chuan Tsou led the way. He went 1 for 2 with 3 walks. He scored 3 runs for Sheridan. Sheridan reliever Luke Corner was credited with the win, to go to 1-2. Ángel Franco took the loss for Germantown. The Deer now have a record of 25-23.
Sheridan center fielder Leonardo Rodríguez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right field for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Deer ahead, 11-2.
Germantown manager Manny Rodríguez called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
