Bompton beat Northwest Territory on the strength of starter Walton Gibbs's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 3-0 win. Gibbs got the win, improving to 2-4. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Gibbs allowed no earned runs. Denny Matthews earned the save for Bompton, his 2nd of the year.

Bompton used the timely hitting of Ben Chell to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Baby Lakers on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Chell told the Bompton Chronicle. "But we take nothing for granted."

Bompton is now 17-25.
