The Las Vegas Flamingos picked up a win at The Strip, knocking off the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 6-2. On the mound for Las Vegas was right-hander Enrique Valle, who played a pivotal role in the win. Valle went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-2. The Flamingos now own a record of 26-17.

Ruud van Ineveld had a big 3-run home run for the Flamingos in the bottom of the third inning. With Las Vegas trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Manuel Delgadillo and stroked the home run to right-center. It was his 10th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flamingos ahead, 3-2.

"I thought we played a nice game," Valle told the Las Vegas Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
