Sheridan Beats Canonniers de Quebec, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Sheridan Deer and the Canonniers de Quebec, pitcher Bert Allison was the difference between victory and defeat. The Sheridan right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-1 Deer win. Sheridan reliever Tabari Dawud got the win, raising his record to 4-1. Tom Woods was tagged with the loss. The Deer' win now puts them at 19-16.
Early in the game, Allison had a 2-run home run for Sheridan. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Deer on top, 2-0.
Allison said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
