Elephants Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
Gibtown right-hander Juan Salinas helped his team edge Sheridan by the score of 3-2. Salinas kept the opposing lineup in check. Gibtown reliever Graeme Clark picked up the win to move to 3-2. Jung-won Park suffered the loss. Sheridan, at 14-14, has lost 4 straight.
Gibtown used the timely hitting of Joe Frank to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Elephants ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was an important one.
Frank attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
