The Montgomery Biscuits got a strong performance from pitcher Hisanobu Yamashita, who stymied the Quebec City offense en route to a 3-1 win at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Montgomery reliever Dana George picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. John Stevens was saddled with the loss. The Biscuits improve their record to 45-48 with the win over Quebec City.

Montgomery took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Chris Carson hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Biscuits.

Yamashita attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
