The Gibtown Elephants got a stellar effort from pitcher Tobin Basch, helping Gibtown score a 3-2 win over the visiting Twinsburg Tigers. Gibtown reliever Ramón Vázquez was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Lorenzo Encarnación took the loss for Twinsburg. After today's action, Gibtown sits at 8-13, while Twinsburg falls to 15-6.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 2-2, designated hitter Colton Pennington won it for Gibtown. With the bases loaded, Pennington hit a 0-1 fastball from Lorenzo Encarnación for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 3-2 win.

Pennington told a Gibtown Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
