Beaver Town was sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.

The Canonniers de Quebec got a sterling performance from pitcher Mark Wells, but the Beavers still prevailed, 5-4. Wells was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball. The winner was Javier Benavides in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Ralph Moore took the loss.

David Alcabú was the walk-off hero for Northwest Territory. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Beavers third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Alcabú told a Northwest Territory Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The Beavers are off to an underwhelming start as they look to defend their championship, notching only their 7th win in 19 games.
