Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Deer
The Sheridan Deer faced a tough opponent in Amarillo pitcher Marty Brooks, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Sheridan Forest by a final score of 3-2. Brooks went 7.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. The winner was Sheridan reliever Francisco Martínez, now 1-1. The loser was Donovan Poe. The Submarinos fall to 7-10 and continue their uneasy start to the 2038 season.

The Deer were down to their final out when second baseman Bert Allison turned a 0-2 fastball from Donovan Poe into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Sheridan Forest crowd go wild.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Allison said.
