Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Hotspur Academy
|
Hicksville third baseman Shi-yu Ting had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Phoenix at Ballpark of Fresno. Ting was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times. Phoenix is now 47-41.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Phoenix trailing 5-4, César Ferreira jumped on a full count fastball from An-shi Gou for a 2-run home run, sending the Hotspur Academy to a walk-off win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Ferreira told the Phoenix Observer.
