Dominant Performance by Holland in Northern Virginia Win
|
In a tight game between the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids and the Boston Patriots, pitcher Chris Holland was terrific on the mound. The Northern Virginia right-hander was named the player of the game in Northern Virginia's 1-0 win. Brewster Warble finished to wrap up his 2nd save. The Rainbow Mermaids, now 12-3, have been playing some good baseball.
Holland, who was born in San Diego, California, threw 91 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no earned runs.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Holland said after the game.
