Big Day by Lazcano Sparks White Walkers Win
|
It was a fun time at Beyond the Wall, where the Mississippi Mockingbirds and Buffalo White Walkers tangled.
Buffalo third baseman Jesús Lazcano played a vital role in his team's 7-0 triumph over Mississippi. He went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Buffalo. Dave Dunn picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed no earned runs on 3 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 2-1.
Lazcano came through with some timely hitting for Buffalo. With the score 2-0 in the bottom of the second and two down, Lazcano hit a first pitch changeup for a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season made it 5-0, Buffalo.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Lazcano said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
The White Walkers, at 16-21, sit in 7th place in the Silver League.
