The Redwood Rhinos did just enough to sneak past the Montgomery Biscuits, 3-2, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Redwood center fielder John Yossarian earned player of the game honors. Getting the save was Akke van der Lee, his 1st. The 8th-place Rhinos improved to 30-35.
Early in the game, Yossarian had a run-scoring double for Redwood. It was his 22nd double of the season and put the Rhinos on top, 2-1.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Montgomery skipper Félix Cruz.
