Canucks Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus Quebec City
|
It was a fun time at Foresters Stadium, where the Quebec City Baby Blues and Moose Jaw Canucks tangled.
Moose Jaw pitcher Gijsbert van Veen did his part in helping his team beat the Quebec City Baby Blues, 7-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6 innings, van Veen surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 6 and walking 5. He allowed no runs.
Making an impact for the home team was Allan Grant. In the bottom of the fourth, the 18-year old right fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 2-0, Canucks.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Grant.
Even with the win, the Canucks have a dismal 21-40 record.
