Loss Extends Buffalo Losing Streak
|
A 3-RBI performance from left fielder Daniel McCoy, who led the SL in slugging percentage with .628 last year, led the San Mateo Dirty Reds to a 5-3 win over the Buffalo White Walkers. Buffalo has now lost 6 consecutive games.
McCoy contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for San Mateo in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, McCoy took a cutter from Gerald Orlebar and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Dirty Reds to leap in front, 3-2.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," McCoy told the San Mateo Herald.
