Franklin Fire starter Biff Pocoroba turned in a top-notch performance against the Phoenix Hotspur Academy at Ballpark of Fresno. The result was a win for the Fire, 5-1. The Fire improve their record to 24-30 with the win over Phoenix.

Franklin used the timely hitting of Tucker Sanford to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Fire on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Pocoroba told the Franklin Today.
