The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Hicksville Hounds, 7-5, at Hound Pound. Montgomery center fielder Emílio Vivas was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Clinton Repetto, credited with the win, is now 3-5. He allowed 5 runs on 9 hits in 7 innings. Montgomery is now 30-24, Hicksville 28-26.
Had Vivas not come through in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Vivas hit a 2-run single. The Biscuits never looked back after taking the 6-5 lead.
