Oleastro Leads Baby Blues to Win
|
The Quebec City Baby Blues grabbed a 5-3 win over the Ladue Rams at Ballpark of Wellsville. Quebec City left fielder Juan Oleastro went 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. The winner was Quebec City reliever Fred Bridges, now 5-0. The loser was Dylan Mugglestone. The save went to Josh Caldwell, his 10th this season.
Oleastro had a game-changing single in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Miguel Villalobos, he banged a run-scoring single to right-center, giving the Baby Blues a 4-3 lead. It was the 66th hit of the year for Oleastro.
"It was a good effort all around," said Oleastro.
Today's win puts Quebec City at 23-27, while Ladue falls to 33-17.
