The Montgomery Biscuits topped the Redwood Rhinos, 3-1, in USSL Rookie action at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. The player of the game was Montgomery pitcher and Wagoner, Oklahoma native Ron Holland. Earning his 12th save for Montgomery was Carlos Cabael. Montgomery now sits at 28-21, while Redwood falls to 22-27.

Bob Arrington drove in one run for Montgomery. The 21-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Paul Wickers. It was his 28th RBI of the season.

Holland attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
