In a low-scoring game between Capital Hill and Franklin, pitcher Markus Jutzi was excellent. The Capital Hill left-hander was named the player of the game in Capital Hill's 3-1 win. Kenny Caird recorded his 1st save for Capital Hill. Capital Hill is now 23-21, Franklin 19-25.
In the bottom of the 6th, second baseman Peni Ferede gave Capital Hill the lead when he hit a 2-run triple. The Interns had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out triple off Franklin pitcher Steve Young changed that -- and Capital Hill went on to win.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Capital Hill manager Francisco Fernández. "It's usually not just one thing."
