|
Wayland Whitlock never let the Rams get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Shockers to a 6-0 win. Whitlock, the winner, moves to 3-5. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. The 6th-place Shockers now have a win-loss record of 20-23.
The Shockers picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Whitlock said.
