Biscuits Win at Moose Jaw, 7-4
|
The Montgomery Biscuits beat the Moose Jaw Canucks, 7-4, at Foresters Stadium. The Biscuits got a fine performance from third baseman Dana George, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Ron Holland, credited with the win, is now 4-2. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 7 innings. The Canucks, at 15-22, have lost 4 in a row.
Montgomery used the bat of Mike Hunt to get the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Biscuits ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Hunt.
