Franklin left fielder Tucker Sanford had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Redwood Rhinos, 7-2. Kevin Moran picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-4. He struck out 8 in 7 innings. Franklin has now won 3 straight, while the Rhinos have lost 3 in a row.
Sanford contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Franklin in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Sanford took a fastball from Carlos Galló and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Fire to leap in front, 3-1.
