6-0 Rhinos Win over Shockers Evens Season Record
|
Redwood right-hander Jorge Souza pitched his team to a shutout win, 6-0, over the Surprise Shockers. Souza picked up the win for Redwood, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 2-4. Redwood now sits in 5th place in the Silver R at 17-17.
Redwood used the timely hitting of Joe Hensball to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rhinos on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I had everything working," said Souza.
