5-Hit Blitz by Hicksville's Szymanski
|
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Aloysius Szymanski of the Hicksville Hounds. Szymanski went on a tear at ïAbbots Ballpark and cracked hit after hit off Surprise pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 20-year-old first baseman had a career 5-for-7 day and something he will long remember.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview.
Despite Szymanski's personal accolades, the Surprise Shockers walked off the field with the 6-5 win.
Aloysius Szymanski hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
Szymanski on the season is hitting .256 with 4 home runs. His stats include 14 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
