The Franklin Fire cruised to a 12-3 win over the Hicksville Hounds at Hound Pound today. Nick McGhee led the way, going 3-for-4 for Franklin. The Fire raised their record to 9-16.

Randy Baker had a big run-scoring single for the Fire in the top of the sixth inning. With Franklin leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a circle change from David Schrattenthaler and stroked the single to center. It was his 22nd hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fire ahead, 5-3.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Baker told reporters after the game.
