Hotspur Academy Stick Biscuits with 4-1 Loss

The Phoenix Hotspur Academy picked up a win at Ballpark of Fresno, knocking off the Montgomery Biscuits, 4-1. Starting pitcher Jared Martínez played a key role in the triumph. Martínez picked up the win for Phoenix, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Heath Brown closed the game out for Phoenix, earning his 1st save.
Daniel Page dealt the Biscuits a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Phoenix leading 1-0, Page hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring double.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Phoenix manager Jack Clayton.
The loss drops Montgomery to 4-5.
