Leppert Hits 2 home runs in Beavers Win
The Ballard Beavers beat the Indiana Lead Sox, 14-5, at The Lead Mine. Ballard shortstop Chris Leppert earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Minato Futamura converted his 2nd save in 2 tries. Ballard is now 56-40.

Ballard catcher Clarence Price contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball into left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 50th hit of the season and put the Beavers ahead, 5-4.
