Cougars Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Valley View and Memphis duked it out at Hillandale Grounds and the Cougars came out victorious.
The Valley View Cougars racked up a win at Hillandale Grounds, bumping off the Memphis Music, 5-2. Thomas Sangrey, who started for Valley View, pitched effectively for his team. The Cougars, now 50-33, have won 4 in a row.
The Cougars grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first. With two out, John Ingham hit a 2-run home run off Sergio Palácios, putting Valley View in front, 3-0. For Ingham, it was his 4th home run of the season.
Ingham said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
