Northern Lions BC Bridle Dirty Reds, 3-1
|
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC topped the San Mateo Dirty Reds by the score of 3-1, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Jason Slaybaugh. Slaybaugh was 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Northern Lions BC. Jim Sison recorded his 4th save for Thunder Bay. The Northern Lions BC saw their win-loss record go to 16-11. At the same time, the Dirty Reds fell to 13-14.
Slaybaugh contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Thunder Bay in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Slaybaugh took a curveball from Anastasio Cabanillas Jr. and stroked the home run to left-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Northern Lions BC to leap in front, 3-1.
Slaybaugh called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
