Getting a good performance from designated hitter Lex Parrel, the Crowley Cajuns defeated the Fort Knox Centennial, 9-2. Parrel was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Cajuns. The 9th-place Cajuns improved to 23-38.

Parrel came through with some timely hitting for Crowley. With the score 2-0 in the top of the second and two down, Parrel hit a 1-2 splitter for a bases-clearing double. His 2nd double of the season made it 5-0, Crowley.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Parrel told a Crowley Bulletin reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
