Victory Pushes Otters Record to 24-12
|
Tulsa Otters starter Martin Luther kept the Valley View Cougars hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-1 win. Luther went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 4-1. Nick Ramey got the save, the 9th for him this season.
Tulsa used the timely hitting of Pedro Santos to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Otters on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Santos told reporters after the game.
Tulsa currently is in first place in the Premier R at 24-12.
